What if butt fat disappeared?

What if, on a perfectly ordinary morning, butt fat disappeared? All of it. Planet-wide. No referendum, no phone notification, no influencer announcing the catastrophe first. Millions would rise to discover that nature had applied the zero-volume filter overnight. Leggings would enter mourning. Jeans would hang like electoral promises. The fitness industry would call an emergency meeting: what do we sell now? The booty challenge would become a historical document, and trainers who built empires on squats would have to talk about backs for the first time.
But the real tragedy would be social. A butt was never only a butt. It was status, a personal project, an investment, a reason for a photograph taken from an impossible angle. Some people do not enter a room: they enter sideways, strategically, their private architecture arriving first. Humanity would have to rediscover the profile. The face. Perhaps even conversation.
The economy would take a blow too. Clinics, creams, push-up trousers, eight-week programmes and peach photos placed mysteriously in captions: gone. A new industry would immediately be born. Humanity cannot tolerate a problem for long without putting a price on it. We would buy anatomical cushions, textile implants and trousers with shape memory.
After three months of panic, the world would adapt. After six, magazines would call the flat behind the new elegance. After a year, someone with two kilograms of butt fat would be a revolutionary. People do not want beauty; they want difference. Fashion is merely anxiety that has hired a photographer.
